The Bristol Honda Pitbulls are thrilled to announce the signing of Northern Irish forward Cam Hamill.

Born in Belfast, the 19-year-old forward came through the Giants’ junior system before switching Belfast for Hull and later Milton Keynes in the National League.

After finishing the 22/23 season with the Lightning, Hamill extended his contract for another year, and finished last season with 4 goals and 8 assists in 42 games.

Cam signs a one-year contract in Bristol and will wear jersey number 7.

On joining the Pitbulls, Cam said “I can’t wait to get started in The Pound, I’m excited to be coming to a new city and a place that is a brilliant rink to play in with one of the best and loudest crowds in the league. As a visitor, it was noticeable how loud the rink is, and it can be tough as they get the team going and can start fast.

“Bari and I spoke early on when the signing window was open, and I am sure this is the right place for me to bring my fast and physical style of hockey and I can’t wait to get going.”

Pitbulls head coach Bari McKenzie said “Every team needs guys like Cammy on their roster. He wears his heart on his sleeve and will be a fan’s favourite in Bristol. Cammy will get an opportunity to play good minutes in Bristol next season, something that he didn’t get the chance to do in Milton Keynes last season and I believe he will continue to improve as a player and be a big part of our roster.”
