The Bristol Honda Pitbulls are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Redmond as bench coach for the upcoming NIHL National League season.

Born in Glasgow, the 50-year-old has been coaching since 2006 with the Slough Jets as a player/assistant before taking an assistant role with the Bison back in 2018 up until 2023.

As a player, ‘Tosh’ had a distinguished 25-year career, starting in Scotland before relocating to Basingstoke where he had the first of four spells with the Bison. He also represented the Jets as a player, as well as the Guilford Flames & Bracknell Bees.

Bari McKenzie is pleased to have Tony on board, he said, “When I was appointed in Bristol, I wanted to make sure I surrounded myself with a good coaching team. Tosh was the first person I thought about and for me it is the ideal situation for me to have him coming in. His experience of the National League was key. He is a winner and a motivator who will keep the players on their toes on the ice and I am looking forward working with him.”
