Weekend Preview : Swindon Wildcats and Solway Sharks

The Bristol Drive North Pitbulls are back in action this weekend taking on the Swindon Wildcats in the M4 derby at The Pound on Friday before we take a trip to Solway on Saturday for a 7pm face-off.
Friday 14th November – Bristol Pitbulls vs Swindon Wildcats
It will be a fierce showdown this Friday as we take on the Swindon Wildcats. The Pitbulls will be looking to grab a win after the Wildcats took the honours last time the two sides met. Swindon have had a very strong start this season sitting at the top of the table, winning 12 of their 16 games played. #18 Tyler Watkins has scored eleven goals so far this season making him the Cat’s top scorer. Last weekend the Cats beat Telford 4-3 with Watkins scoring two of their goals. Swindon will be after another win and will put up a strong fight for The Pitbulls. Another player to watch is Ben O Connor, #46, racking up 12 assists so far.

Competitions : 50/50 and Chuck the Puck
You can win an exciting cash prize when you enter our 50/50 draw, tickets will be at the merch table to buy. For anyone who wants some fun you can buy your foam pucks from the merch table. Be ready to chuck them onto the ice during the 2nd intermission in an attempt to get the closest to the face off spots to win a prize!
Saturday 15th November – Solway Sharks vs Bristol Pitbulls
We travel to Solway this Saturday where we face off against the Sharks at 7pm. Solway have struggled this season only winning 3 in 15 games played so far. They will want a win this weekend so the Pitbulls will need to stay strong to create a win. Dylan Stewart (#9) has played well for the Sharks scoring 11 goals followed by Derek Osik scoring 8. Last weekend, Solway had mixed results, losing against Romford 4-5 (SO) however, turning this around and beating the Raiders 4-5 on Sunday. This could be a tricky game for the Pitbulls if they don’t play their best.
