Weekend Preview : Romford Raiders and Peterborough Phantoms

The Drive Bristol North Pitbulls are back in The Pound this weekend as we face off against the Romford Raiders on Saturday before taking the trip up to Peterborough on Sunday.
Saturday 10th January – Bristol Pitbulls vs Romford Raiders
The Bristol Pitbulls take on the Romford Raiders for the fourth time this season hoping to skate away with a second win. The Raiders currently sit 8th in the league collecting 26 points. #29 Jake Sylvester has been strong for the Raiders with 23 goals scored, followed by Tjay Anderson with 21 goals scored so far. Another stand out player for the Raiders this season is Adam Laishram, #98, with 29 assists. Last weekend Romford lost both of their games against MK Lightning and the Telford Tigers so they will be looking to play a strong game at The Pound.

Competitions : 50/50 and Chuck the Puck
You can win an exciting cash prize when you enter our 50/50 draw, tickets will be at the merch table to buy. For anyone who wants some fun you can buy your foam pucks from the merch table. Be ready to chuck them onto the ice during the 2nd intermission in an attempt to get the closest to the face off spots to win a prize!

Both Jay King and Jake Bryceland will be in the bar after the game signing autographs. Remember to bring any merchandise or photos you’d like signed!
Sunday 11th January – Peterborough Phantoms vs Bristol Pitbulls
On Sunday the Pitbulls head to Peterborough to take on the Phantoms in a 5:30pm face off. The Phantoms sit 5th in the league with 36 points. A stand out player for Peterborough this season has been #29 Cameron Hough with 37 goals scored so far, making him the top scorer of the entire league. Furthermore, Janne Laakkonen holds the title for most assists in the league with 47. Last weekend, the Phantoms took two losses against the Bison (4-2) and Swindon Wildcats (4-5) so the Pitbulls can expect a potentially strong game.
