Weekend Preview : Basingstoke Bison and Sheffield Steeldogs

Your Drive Bristol North Pitbulls hit the ice again this weekend as we face off against the Basingstoke Bison and Sheffield Steeldogs. We start off on the road this Saturday in Basingstoke before returning to The Pound on Sunday.
Saturday 14th February – Basingstoke Bison vs Bristol Pitbulls
We kick off the weekend with a trip up to Basingstoke on Saturday for a 6:30pm face off where the Pitbulls will aim to grab their first win against the side this season. The Bison currently sit 10th in the league, just one place above the Pitbulls, with 30 points. Some stand out players for the Bison have been #22 Brendan Sellan, scoring 23 goals in his 40 games played, as well as Luke Spadafora with 17 in 39 games played. Additionally, Zack Milton has been playing well recently with one goal in their game last weekend in a 4-5 (SO) loss against the Phantoms and then 2 more in a 6-4 loss against the Tigers. Both teams will be after a win after facing losses last weekend so it is set to be a competitive game.
Sunday 15th February – Bristol Pitbulls vs Sheffield Steeldogs
We then hit The Pound on Sunday as we take on the Sheffield Steeldogs where the Pitbulls also look for their first win this season against the side. Sheffield currently sit 2nd in the league so this will be a tough game for the Pitbulls so they will need a strong performance. Ones to watch this weekend include Bair Gendunov who has scored 30 in 38 as well as #37 Kyle Watson with 23 in 36. Walker Sommer has had a strong season with 33 assists in 38 games as well as scoring last weekend against MK Lightning in a 6-2 loss. CJ Garcia has also had a good influence on the side with 34 assists, including one last weekend.

Pride Week Jersey Auction 🏳️🌈
This weekend the players will be wearing their Pride jerseys as part of EIHA Pride Week for all 3 games from the 15th to the 22nd at The Pound. Auction goes live this Sunday vs the Steeldogs. Highest bidders can collect their jerseys after the Phantoms game on the 21st in the bar.
