Stewart Joins The Pack

The Drive North Bristol Pitbulls are delighted to welcome Canadian forward Dylan Stewart to the club for the upcoming season.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, the 6’2” forward arrives in Bristol with an impressive North American hockey background, bringing size, skill, physicality, and offensive firepower to the Pitbulls lineup.

Stewart developed through the Canadian junior system, gaining experience in both the WHL and ACAC before progressing into the professional ranks. Prior to making the move overseas, the versatile centre/winger competed in the SPHL before spells in France and the NIHL National.

Dylan has been a proven point-getter everywhere he has played. He finished as Huntsville Havoc’s top scorer during the 2023/24 season with 45 points in 48 games, made an instant impact in France2 with Courchevel at a point-per-game pace, before leading the Solway Sharks with 37 goals and 38 assists for 75 points in 51 games.

Known for his direct north-south style of play, Stewart combines strong skating ability with a physical edge and a willingness to battle in the dirty areas and corners. His hard-working all-around game and scoring touch are something we are looking forward to him bringing to the Pound this September.

“Dylan brings a real power-forward presence to our lineup. He plays with pace, competes hard in all three zones, and has the ability to make plays whilst also being difficult to play against.
Dylan also brings us strength down the middle. Last year we struggled at times in the middle, with face-offs being a real key part and momentum swing in games. His 200-foot game and physical strength are areas I was keen to address.

I’m also excited to add more offensive flair to our already dynamic powerplay unit. He gives us more options with running two strong units or, if needed, overloading one unit in key moments.
With Dylan’s flexibility to also play on the wing, it gives us plenty of options with matchups and different combinations throughout the lineup.
He’s been a proven point-getter everywhere he’s played and has consistently led offensively. We’re excited for Dylan to bring that to the Pitbulls lineup.

Dylan was very keen to explore his options with Bristol, and through the conversations we’ve had it was quick to see his mindset and mentality are upbeat, focused, and easy-going. To me, that’s a key part of building a strong locker room for the long haul.”
