KERLIN HEADS BACK TO THE POUND

The Drive North Bristol Pitbulls are delighted to confirm the signing of 25-year-old Surrey-born netminder Will Kerlin for the 2026/27 season.
Will is no stranger to Pitbulls fans or The Pound, having iced for the club during our inaugural season in the NIHL National Division in 2022/23. During his first spell in Bristol, Will played a key role in helping the club achieve its highest league finish to date. The former Great Britain U18 and U20 international established himself as one of the league’s brightest young goaltenders during his time with the club.
Since leaving Bristol, Will has spent the last three seasons with the Milton Keynes Lightning, where he formed part of a successful goaltending duo. During his time in Milton Keynes, he helped the Lightning capture the NIHL Cup in 2023/24 and the Playoff Championship in 2024/25, gaining valuable experience and establishing himself as one of the top netminders at this level.
Now, Will returns to Bristol looking to bring that experience, confidence, and winning mentality back to The Pound.
Rich Hargreaves commented:
“Firstly, when you talk about Will, it’s hard to get past what an incredible character he is. I had the pleasure of working with him during our first season after the Pitbulls moved up to the NIHL National Division. His attitude, professionalism, and compete level are second to none.
We had a very young group back in 2022, and Will was a big part of that team. It was easy to see the potential he had, and he certainly didn’t disappoint. For a young goalie, he played well beyond his years. His decision to continue his development away from Bristol was something I respected, and ultimately it has helped him mature both on and off the ice.
He’s grown into the game, gained valuable experience, and played a significant role in Milton Keynes’ success over the last few seasons. When the opportunity arose this summer to bring him back to The Pound, and with the direction I wanted to take the team, it was a no-brainer. Will was keen to return and pick up where he left off.
I know he was well-liked by the fans and everyone around the club during his first spell here, so I’m sure his return will be very well received. Will is ready for the challenge ahead and excited about this opportunity once again.
Will is a big goalie who covers the net well, and he’s hungry to be back in Bristol and get going. We’re delighted to have him returning to the club.”
Everyone at the Bristol Pitbulls would like to welcome Will back to The Pound, and we look forward to seeing him back between the pipes for the 2026/27 season.
