WHITE-SEY RETURNS

The Drive North Bristol Pitbulls are delighted to welcome back 20-year-old defenceman Jacob White-Sey for the 2026/27 season.

The Guildford and Slough junior first donned the blue jersey during our inaugural season at NIHL National level while on a two-way agreement with the Slough Jets. The following season, the 6’3″, 200lb former Great Britain U18 and U20 captain made his full debut for the Pitbulls and quickly established himself as one of the league’s most promising young defencemen.

White-Sey followed that up with an impressive 15-point campaign from the blue line, showcasing his ability at both ends of the ice and adding another dimension to the Pitbulls’ defensive core. Despite his young age, Jacob has already demonstrated the maturity, poise and presence needed to compete at this level.

Unfortunately, a pre-season injury ruled Jacob out for the entirety of the 2025/26 season. Now fully focused on his recovery, he is eager to pick up where he left off and can’t wait to get back to The Pound this September.

Rich Hargreaves commented:

“Jacob is a great kid who has so many upsides to his game. He’s a big presence at 6’3”, plays a heavy game around the net, and isn’t afraid to join the rush when the opportunity presents itself.
Jacob is definitely one of the bright stars for the future. He has great hockey sense, is an excellent skater, and is incredibly mobile for a player of his size. He has a great shot and can play a physical style when needed, which makes him a really exciting player to watch.

It was a real shame to lose a year with Jacob because of injury, but his attitude throughout was first class. He stayed positive and remained around the group all season, supporting the team both on and off the ice. That says a lot about his character.

I’m really excited to have him back this September. It’s easy to forget just how young he still is, and that’s a testament to both his ability and the way he carries himself around the team.
Jacob adds real depth to our blue line. He gives us another big body, skates extremely well, and has the ability to contribute in all situations. Having players of his calibre returning only makes us stronger as a group, and we’re looking forward to seeing him back on the ice and continuing his development with us.”

After a frustrating year on the sidelines, we’re all looking forward to seeing Jacob back doing what he does best.

Roll on September, and welcome back Jacob White-Sey!
