MORRIS RETURNS TO THE POUND

The Drive North Bristol Pitbulls are delighted to announce that Sean Morris has re-signed with the club for the 2026/27 NIHL National season.

Now entering his fifth season in Bristol, Sean has become one of the club’s most respected and dependable players. Born in Nottingham, the 23-year-old forward took an unconventional route to the National League, spending several years developing his game in North America. His hockey journey saw him play at the prestigious Ontario Hockey Academybefore gaining valuable experience in the United States, helping mould him into the hardworking, team-first player Pitbulls fans know today.

Standing at 6’3″, Sean brings a unique combination of size, physicality and skill. While his contributions don’t always grab the headlines, his willingness to do the little things—winning battles, blocking shots, finishing checks and putting the team first—has made him an invaluable member of the squad.
Last season also saw Sean take on greater responsibility as an Alternate Captain, a role he embraced with maturity and professionalism. His commitment to the team and the standards he sets every day have earned the respect of his teammates, coaches and the Blue Army.

Speaking about returning to Bristol, Sean said :

“I’m really happy to be back for another season. Bristol has become home for me, and pulling on the Pitbulls jersey is something I’m incredibly proud of. The support we get every week from the Blue Army is unbelievable, and I can’t wait to get back out there with the boys. We’ve got an exciting group coming together, and I’m looking forward to helping the team push forward this season.”

Richie Hargreaves added :

“Sean has a lot more upside to his game than people probably realise. He’s the type of player that’s easily overlooked because he does all the little things so well. He plays an honest game, works incredibly hard, and you never have to question the heart he leaves out on the ice every night. I think this is going to be a big year for Sean. It’s a great opportunity for him to show another side of his game and what he’s truly capable of, both offensively and defensively. People sometimes forget he’s still only 23 years old, and there’s still plenty more left in the tank for him.
His versatility is massive for our team. We can use him in every situation five on five, special teams, protecting a lead or chasing a game. Just as importantly, his attitude has helped him develop into a really good leader within our group, and that’s something we’re hoping to see continue this season. He’s a coaches love because you know exactly what you’re going to get every single night.”

As preparations continue for the 2026/27 campaign, the return of Sean Morris adds another important piece to the Pitbulls’ roster. With his experience, leadership, versatility and relentless work ethic, Sean will once again play a key role as Bristol looks to build on last season and continue moving the club forward.
