Weekend Preview : MK Lightning and Solway Sharks

This weekend the Drive Bristol North Pitbulls are back in action after their two weeks of pre-season. We hit the road on Saturday to face the MK Lightning, then it’s back to the pound to kick off our first official home opener on Sunday 21st vs Solway Sharks.
Saturday 20th – MK Lightning vs Bristol Pitbulls
MK Lightning began pre-season with a difficult start, losing the first two games facing Coventry Blaze away and the Tilburg Trappers for their opening home game. Despite this, they came back stronger for their final two pre-season games beating the Romford Raiders 10-0 followed by a 2-5 win also against the Raiders. Jordan Cownie, forward for the Lightning, will be a player to look out for having scored six goals in the four pre-season games played whilst also collecting four assists tallying ten points. Another player who could be one to look out for is Harry Gulliver having scored three goals within the four pre-season games.
Sunday 21st – Bristol Pitbulls vs Solway Sharks
We kick off our home game opener at 5pm on Sunday against the Solway Sharks who haven’t had the best of starts in their pre-season, losing their official pre-season games against the Hull Seahawks, 5-2 and 9-3. However, Dylan Stewart, #9 for the Sharks has scored three goals out of the two pre-season games played making him one to look out for this weekend.

Both Rhys and Owen Smetham will be in the bar after the game signing autographs so remember to grab your space in the queue and bring any merch you’d like to get signed!
