RAGAN COMMITS TO A THREE YEAR CONTRACT

The Bristol Drive North Pitbulls are delighted to announce that Bobby Ragan has signed a new three-year contract, committing his future to the club until the end of the 2028/29 season.

Still only 19 years old, Bobby has already established himself as one of the brightest young British talents in the game. Born in Llantrisant, Wales, he began his hockey journey through the Cardiff Junior programme before continuing his development with the Swindon Wildcats Academy. He also gained valuable experience in Canada with the Ontario Hockey Academy, helping shape him into the player he is today.

Since joining the Bristol Pitbulls, Bobby has continued to grow both on and off the ice. His relentless work ethic, speed, determination, and willingness to battle every shift have made him a popular figure with the Pitbulls faithful. Alongside his time in Bristol, Bobby has also benefited from valuable development opportunities with Cardiff Fire, continuing to gain experience while representing the Pitbulls.

His new three-year commitment is another important step in the club’s vision of building around talented young British players for the future. Bobby’s attitude, professionalism, and desire to improve embody everything the Bristol Pitbulls stand for, and the club is excited to see him continue his journey in blue.

“Bobby continues to show a fantastic attitude and a great skill set. His mindset is focused on having a big season, continuing to develop, and maturing both as a player and as a person.
With a couple of players moving on, the opportunity has presented itself for Bobby to take that next step. I’m expecting him to pick up where he left off, continue enjoying his hockey, and become an even bigger part of this team.
He’s put in a lot of hard work over the summer, spending time in the gym, taking his fitness seriously, and preparing himself for what’s ahead. He has a great skill set that sometimes goes a little under the radar, and he’s willing to adapt to whatever is asked of him. That makes him a pleasure to coach. Bobby plays with real pace, and in today’s game that’s incredibly important. I’m excited to see his continued development and what he can achieve with the opportunity that’s now in front of him this season.”
