WOOLDRIDGE SIGNS A TWO YEAR CONTRACT

The Drive North Bristol Pitbulls are delighted to announce the signing of promising young forward Harvey Wooldridge for the 2026/27 and 27/28 NIHL National season.

The Bristol Pitbulls are excited to welcome talented young centre Harvey Wooldridge to the club as he returns to the UK following his development in North America.

At just 19 years of age, Harvey already boasts an impressive hockey résumé. After progressing through the Belfast Giants junior programme, he established himself as one of Ireland’s brightest young prospects before making the move across the Atlantic to continue his development with the Connecticut RoughRiders.

Standing at 6’1″, Harvey is a strong, intelligent two-way centre who combines excellent skating with a high hockey IQ. Comfortable in all situations, he plays a heavy game, skates exceptionally well and isn’t afraid to compete in the hard areas of the ice. His size, mobility and attention to detail make him a player capable of impacting the game in more ways than simply scoring points.

During his time in North America, Harvey continued to develop against high-level junior competition in both the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the USPHL Premier, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced and physical environment. That experience has helped round out his game and prepared him well for the next stage of his career.

Harvey has also represented Ireland on the international stage, earning senior honours while still a teenager. Pulling on the national jersey at such a young age is a testament to both his character and the potential coaches see in his game.

Now, Harvey arrives in Bristol looking to take the next step in his career and establish himself in the NIHL National League.

Speaking about joining the Pitbulls, Harvey commented :

“I’m really excited to be joining Bristol. I’ve heard great things about the club and the fanbase, and after speaking with Richie, it was clear this was the right place for me to continue developing. I can’t wait to meet the lads, get on the ice and do everything I can to help the team have a successful season.”

Richie Hargreaves added :

“I’m excited to see what Harvey can bring to our group. He’s a big kid who plays a heavy game and skates exceptionally well, which is something that’s becoming harder and harder to find. His experience of developing overseas has given him a different edge, and we believe that will benefit both him and the team. He adds healthy competition and valuable depth to our lineup, which is exactly what you need to build a successful squad. Harvey is excited to be here and sees this as a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in his career. I’m looking forward to working with him and helping him continue his development throughout the season.”

Everyone at the Bristol Pitbulls would like to welcome Harvey to the Pack.
