Weekend Preview : Romford Raiders
Saturday 19th September – Bristol Pitbulls v Romford Raiders
Your Drive North Bristol Pitbulls kick off their first league weekend with a double-header against the Romford Raiders, starting at the Pound on Saturday before heading to Sapphire Ice and Leisure on Sunday. The Raiders head into the opening weekend off the back of a successful preseason, winning three of their four fixtures over the past two weeks including two victories against the Peterborough Phantoms and one against the Streatham Redhawks. Two new imports in particular have already made a big impression for the team. Leo Bacallao led the scoring across both weekends despite only icing in three games, racking up ten points with seven goals and three assists in his first few games as a Raider. Barret Kirwin has also showed what he can bring, finding the net five times and assisting two goals in his three games.
